I would have to object to a proposal to have only one person sign cheques,(presumably the treasurer!).
To have at least two of three approved signatories for cheques is a fundamental constitutional requirement for both security (as fraud would then require collusion), and convenience (as the one signator might be unavoidably unavailable when most urgently needed).
